A human rights activist who was arrested while accompanying Palestinian fishermen on a trip is appealing against his deportation from Israel.
Andrew Muncie, 34, who was detained along with two other campaigners, could see his case called in court within the next few days, or weeks.
The 15 fishermen, who were accused of deviating from a fishing zone off Gaza, have been released.
Mr Muncie, from Lochaber, has not been able to speak to his family.
John Muncie, a retired teacher who lives in Spean Bridge, near Fort William, said he had been told his son had planned to go on hunger strike if the fishermen were not released.
Andrew Muncie was detained in 2003 after obstructing Israeli soldiers in the West Bank town of Nablus in 2003.
