Man accused in death crash case

A 58-year-old man has appeared at Inverness Sheriff Court accused of causing a crash in which a four-year-old girl and her grandfather died.

Ian Shennan, of Elgin, was accused of causing death by dangerous driving on the A9 near Crubbenmore on 19 July.

Shennan made no plea or declaration and was committed for further examination. He was released on bail.

Paul Anderson, 48, from Lancashire, was killed along with his granddaughter Samantha Carr.
