A 46-year-old man has died in an industrial accident at the construction site of one of Scotland's biggest hydro-electric schemes.

The incident happened at the Glendoe hydro power station near Fort Augustus in the Highlands at about 0800 BST.

A spokesperson for Scottish and Southern Energy confirmed that there was an ongoing investigation.

The project at Glendoe is the biggest hydro electric scheme to be built in Scotland in 50 years.
