Ex-shinty rules boss 'took money'

A former official with shinty's ruling body, the Camanachd Association, has admitted embezzling £1,800 from the Inverness-based organisation.

Allan MacLeod, 28, of Drumnadrochit, pleaded guilty to taking the money while he was competition and rules manager last year.

The case was continued by Sheriff Andrew Berry at Inverness Sheriff Court for reports until 9 September.

Mr MacLeod resigned from the post last December.
