Tour of 'run down' school offered

Inside Wick High School
Radiators and windows were said to be in a poor state

A parents' council and pupils have stepped up their campaign for a major revamp of a Caithness academy.

They have said Wick High School was so run down it would cost millions of pounds to refurbish.

Problems are said to include small classrooms, damp, rusting radiators and rotten window frames.

Parents will be invited to see the conditions at an open meeting on 22 April. Highlands MSP Peter Peacock has also been asked to visit the school.

The Scottish Labour list MSP is a former education minister.
