First superheroes expo for north

A visit by a legion of Imperial stormtroopers and a talk on superheroes will help mark the first comic book event to be held in the north.

The inaugural Highland International Comic Expo: Hi-Ex will be held in Inverness on 2 and 3 February.

Eden Court Theatre will stage events including an exhibition of original artwork and screenings of the Spider-Man film trilogy.

There will also be a charity auction and a script writing workshop.

Exhibitors include UK Star Wars costume group, the 501st Legion of Imperial Stormtroopers.

Interviews and talks will be held on Scottish comic creators and the future of British comics.
