NHS Highland meets cancer target
Raigmore Hospital
Chiefs said health staff have worked hard to meet the target
NHS Highland has said it met a cancer waiting time target for the second quarter of this year.

The health authority was identified in the summer as one of three in Scotland that was struggling to meet the target.

It requires 95% of patients referred urgently by a GP to be diagnosed and begin their treatment.

Cancer network manager Christine McIntosh said staff worked hard to get to this stage and she was confident of meeting the remainder of their targets.
