Tribute to orienteering veteran
Tribute has been paid to an orienteering veteran whose body was found in woods near Inverness.

Rescue teams, search dogs and an RAF helicopter combed the Drumashie woods area after Richard Amour, 68, was reported missing on Tuesday night.

Northern Constabulary said his body was found in the early hours of Wednesday.

A posting on the Scottish Orienteering website said Mr Amour was an "all-round good guy and a superb orienteer at the highest level".

It went on to describe Mr Amour, who was known as Dick, as someone who was extremely fit and had played an important role at an event this year.

The posting said Mr Amour had gone out for a late run, and it also paid condolences to his wife, Lesley.

His family expressed their thanks for the efforts of the search teams.
