Five star hotel in Cawdors' plan
Nairn harbour
Lord Cawdor said Nairn was a "fantastic" place in which to live
A five star hotel, championship standard golf course and an equestrian centre are among proposals being mooted by a countess and her stepson.

Angelika Cawdor, the Dowager Countess of Cawdor, and Lord Colin Cawdor will unveil their ideas for Nairn at a public exhibition.

Housing and an ecology centre have also been included in the proposal.

The exhibition will be staged at the town's new community centre from 5 to 10 November.

The proposals involve 247 acres (100 hectares) of land at Delnies which is owned by the Cawdor Maintenance Trust and farmed by the estate's agricultural business.

Lord Cawdor described it as a "once-in-a-lifetime opportunity" to enhance Nairn's reputation as a "fantastic" place in which to live and work.
