Workers are in dispute with the operators over pay
Strike action by workers at the Dounreay nuclear plant in Caithness has been averted after agreement was reached over a pay deal.

Staff, along with colleagues at other UK Atomic Energy Authority (UKAEA) sites, backed a union recommendation to accept the offer by management.

About 2,000 workers had previously voted to go on strike at Dounreay.

A spokesman for the three unions involved in the talks said they were happy with the outcome.
