Wick Harbour death man is named

The incident took place at Wick Harbour
Police have named a man whose body was found inside a car which went into the water at Wick Harbour.

Emergency services were called to the scene after the alarm was raised at about 0800 GMT on Saturday.

Northern Constabulary said the vehicle was recovered later that day with assistance from Grampian Police's underwater search team.

The body of 43-year-old Ian Thompson, from Milton, Wick, was discovered inside the car.

Police said a report would be submitted to the procurator fiscal in Wick.
