Reindeer arrive in the Highlands
Dandy the Reindeer
Dandy fathered the six young bulls
A Scottish wildlife park has taken delivery of six young male reindeer - from Lancashire.

The animals, which are usually associated with Lapland, join a herd in an enclosure at the Highland Wildlife Park, near Kincraig.

The bulls from Blackpool Zoo will spend the rest of their lives at the park, said keeper Mary Sellar.

Blackpool's oldest male reindeer, a 10-year-old called Dandy, fathered the six.

Dandy fathered an all-female herd in 2005, which is an unusual feat for the species.
