Steam train group offered station
A group proposing to start a steam train service between Invergordon and Golspie has been offered the chance to lease a station.

The Victorian-era station at Tain is key to the Tain Heritage Railway Group's plans for a summer attraction.

Network Rail, which is auctioning a number of redundant station buildings, has offered Tain for a nominal sum.

The group must produce a business plan and show pledges of funding to cover the £180,000 cost of refurbishing it.
