Arts projects get funding boost
Fifteen organisations planning arts projects to mark the Highland 2007 Year of Culture are to share 250,000.

The Scottish Arts Council funding will cover the cost of equipment and building expenses.

The groups include Strathpeffer Pavilion, Glenuig Community Association, Raasay Community Association and Cromarty Arts Trust.

Alison Magee, chair of Highland 2007, said she was pleased about the geographical spread of the funding.
