Two people killed in caravan fire

A man and a women died in the fire in the static caravan

A man and a woman have died in a fire at a caravan park in Dunbartonshire, police have confirmed.

Fire crews were called to the fire at Lagganbeg Caravan Park at Gartocharn, near Loch Lomond, at about 0615 GMT.

Ten firefighters had extinguished the blaze at a static caravan on the site by 0700 GMT.

A 65-year-old man and 59-year-old woman were pronounced dead at the scene. Police said there did not appear to be any suspicious circumstances.

A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.
