Firefighters tackle Sighthill school blaze

The fire was already "well developed" when crews arrived on the scene

Up to 40 firefighters are tackling a blaze at a derelict school building in the north of Glasgow.

Strathclyde Fire and Rescue said it was called to the former Sighthill Primary School building at Fountainwell Road at about 1322 GMT on Thursday.

A spokesman said that when the first crews arrived on the scene the fire was already "well developed".

No-one was reported to have been inside the building when the fire broke out and there were no reports of injuries.
