Man struck by double-decker bus

A 74-year-old man has been seriously injured after being struck by a double-decker bus in Glasgow city centre.

The man was knocked down while crossing Argyle Street, near Jamaica Street, at about 1550 GMT on Sunday.

He was taken by ambulance to the city's Royal Infirmary where his condition has been described as "serious but stable".

The bus driver was uninjured. Police have appealed for anyone who witnessed the incident to contact them.
