Three teenagers injured after car rolls into field

Three teenagers have been injured following a road crash in Kilbirnie in Ayrshire on Friday night.

Police said about 2030 GMT, a Volkswagen Golf driven by a 19-year-old man appeared to have crashed on Dalry Road and rolled into a field.

The driver sustained a spinal injury and was taken to Crosshouse Hospital, Kilmarnock before being transferred to the South General Hospital in Glasgow.

Two male passengers suffered fractures and were taken to Crosshouse Hospital.

A 19-year-old broke his leg while a 16-year-old male broke an elbow.

Police said they wanted to speak to the driver of a dark coloured Volkswagen Golf, who may have been driving ahead of the vehicle when the crash occurred.
