Murder bid victim found in street

Househillmuir road
The 21-year-old victim was discovered in Househillmuir Road

Police are treating an attack on a man found with serious injuries in the Pollok area of Glasgow as attempted murder.

The 21-year-old victim was discovered in Househillmuir Road shortly before 0100 GMT.

He was taken to the Southern General Hospital, where medical staff described his condition as "serious".

Det Sgt Jane Lawson appealed for any witnesses to a disturbance in the area to contact the police.
