Three hurt in attack outside pub

Two men, aged 21 and 28, have been seriously injured following an attack outside a pub in Glasgow.

Strathclyde Police said a third man, aged 23, received minor injuries in the assault in Baillieston which is thought to have involved a bladed weapon.

A police spokesman said the men were involved in an incident outside the Barrachnie Inn on Glasgow Road between 0045 GMT and 0105 GMT on Sunday.

One of the injured men is still being treated at Glasgow Royal Infirmary.

Det Con Colin Hailstones, of Shettleston CID, said: "Inquiries are at an early stage but we are interested in speaking to anyone who may have been drinking in the nearby Barrachnie Inn and who may have witnessed the altercation or have any information that can assist with our inquiry.

"Glasgow Road would have been fairly busy with both motorists and pedestrians at this time and I would appeal to anyone who may have witnessed the attack to come forward."
