Concern for two missing teenagers

A search is ongoing for two teenagers who have been reported missing overnight in Glasgow.

Reece Allen, 15, and 19-year-old Kelvin Conway were last seen in Morion Road, Knightswood, at about 1900 GMT on Saturday.

It is understood the youths both have learning difficulties and have never been missing before.

The Strathclyde force said a police helicopter and officers from the dog branch have been involved in the hunt.

Kelvin's mother Angela appealed to her son to come home.

She said: "You're not in trouble, I just want to see you and Reece. Please just phone me or go to the nearest house and ask them to phone the police for you."

She said she was particularly concerned following the drop in temperature overnight.

"I think it was maybe one of the coldest nights we've had recently and Kelvin wasn't dressed for that," she said.

"He doesn't know Knightswood or Glasgow city centre so I'm really fearful just now.

"I see other families going through this on telly and you don't realise how much they're going through - now it's happened to me my whole world seems to be falling apart just now."

Insp Derek Lang said: "It is a very cold night and we know that they do not have adequate clothing with them, also they have no money and no mobile phones with them.

"Because of this we are becoming increasingly concerned for their safety and wellbeing.

"We know that the two young men like to visit parks so it maybe for some reason they have gone somewhere like that."

'No money'

Kelvin Conway is 5ft 7in tall, of stocky build, with black hair, brown eyes and an olive complexion.

He was wearing red and black glasses, a navy pullover with a hood, blue denims and black slip-on shoes.

Reece Allen is described as being 5ft 5in, of slim build, with dirty blonde hair, brown eyes, a fair complexion and red marks on his face.

He was wearing a red Puma tracksuit top, blue Adidas jogging trousers and black trainers.
