Man, 54, dies following car crash

Police have appealed for witnesses to the crash in the north of Glasgow

A 54-year-old man has died after his car hit two other vehicles in the north of Glasgow at the weekend.

Clive David McKellar's Peugeot car struck a Ford Galaxy on Arrochar Street, near to Sandbank Street, at about 1740 GMT on Sunday.

It then turned right into Shiskine Drive where it struck a Vauxhall Vectra near to the Lidl supermarket.

Mr McKellar was taken to the city's Western Infirmary where he died a short time later.

A 55-year-old man, who was driving the Vauxhall Vectra, was treated in the same hospital for a minor head injury.

A 46-year-old man, who was driving the Ford Galaxy, was uninjured.

Police have appealed for witnesses to the crash to contact them. A report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.
