A creative team has been appointed to develop Glasgow's contribution to the closing ceremony of the Commonwealth Games in Delhi next year.

The ceremony will see the city formally receive the games flag as it prepares to host the 2014 event.

Organisers, Glasgow 2014 Ltd, said the communications firm Unspun would lead the creative vision for Delhi ceremony.

It will receive independent help from executive producer, Catherine Ugwu, and production designer Mark Fisher.

Mr Fisher said: "Our goal is to create a spectacular handover ceremony which will make all Scotland proud.

"The handover ceremony will capture both the spirit of Scotland and Glasgow's unique personality."
