Crash biker dies of head injuries

A 28-year-old motorcyclist injured in a crash involving a car in Ayrshire on Wednesday has died in hospital.

Keith Everett, of Kilbirnie, suffered head injuries in the collision with a Chevrolet on the A78 near Skelmorlie.

He was treated at Inverclyde Royal Hospital in Greenock, but died on Thursday.

Strathclyde Police have asked anyone who witnessed the accident to contact them. The four occupants of the car were uninjured.
