Police want to speak to a male who entered the takeaway at the same time

A man who was seriously injured in an incident in a takeaway shop in Glasgow has died in hospital.

David McShane, 43, was the victim of a serious assault at Ali's Takeaway Shop in Shettleston Road on 7 June.

He died as a result of his injuries in Glasgow's Royal Infirmary last Tuesday. Police have appealed for witnesses to come forward.

A 38-year-old woman and 35-year-old man have already appeared in court in connection with the incident.

Det Sgt Kenny McCartney from Strathclyde Police said: "Our inquiries so far have established that there were other people in the area around the time of incident.

"I would urge anyone who may have seen or witnessed the assault, or if anyone has any information, however insignificant it may seem, to get in touch with us as a matter of urgency.

"I am particularly interested in speaking to a male who entered Ali's takeaway around the same time as Mr McShane"
