Drugs seized at railway station

Police have seized cannabis worth an estimated £80,000 in a bust at Glasgow Central Station.

A man aged 23 and three women aged 29, 32 and 41 were arrested on Tuesday.

A second man was arrested later at Newcastle Station as part of the cross-border operation in which cash was also recovered.

Det Ch Insp Jim McKelvie, from the British Transport Police, said the arrests were part of an operation targeting people who grow the drug.
