Allen originally claimed Mr Black attacked him

A teenager has been found guilty of murdering a man who was found with 142 separate stab wounds at his home in South Lanarkshire. A jury at the High Court in Aberdeen found Peter Allen, 19, guilty of killing 48-year-old Raymond Black in Carluke in January this year. The court heard how Mr Black was found with a kitchen knife lodged in his eye socket after the attack. Judge Lord Brodie deferred sentence on Allen for background reports. The court heard that Allen committed the murder just eight weeks after serving a six-month sentence for assault. He had been drinking with Mr Black at his home before attacking him with a lamp, glass, Irn-Bru bottle and slitting his throat with a knife. Allen had initially told police that Mr Black tried to attack him with the knife and that he had disarmed him and defended himself.
But when Allen took the stand he changed his story, claiming that Mr Black had made a sexual approach towards him. The jury did not accept his claims and found him guilty of murder after a six-day trial. Allen was also charged with stealing Mr Black's wife's car after the murder and crashing it just yards from the scene. He was also charged with several breaches of bail conditions and various driving offences. However, the Crown dropped all the charges with the exception of murder. 'Adored' father Speaking outside the court, Mr Black's family said "no sentence" would be long enough. His 17-year-old daughter, Sheree, said: "Our dad adored his family, he was always there for me and now he's not. "No matter what happens, justice will never be done. "Peter Allen is a filthy animal and I hope he rots." Mr Black's eldest son, Sean, 23, said: "As far as I'm concerned justice will never be served as long as he is alive and my dad is dead. "Obviously the jury knew themselves that his story was a pack of lies and I think that was proven afterwards given his background when it was brought up. "The longer he gets the better obviously, if he's away for the rest of his life I'll be happy."
