Woman's body found in undergrowth

Police at scene
Police have been searching the area where the body was found for evidence

A murder inquiry has been launched after the body of a young woman was found in undergrowth in Glasgow.

The woman, who has not been identified, was discovered at about 1300 BST on Saturday in Coventry Drive, Dennistoun.

It is thought the discovery is linked to a missing person investigation, involving a woman from Nepal.

Strathclyde Police appealed for anyone with information, or who may have witnessed suspicious activity in the area, to contact them.

Officers are carrying out extensive searches and door to door inquiries.
