Two killed in early morning crash

Two men have died following a car crash in East Renfrewshire.

The accident, involving two cars, happened on the Ayr Road near Eastwood Toll roundabout at about 0225 BST.

Strathclyde Police said the driver of a black Vauxhall Vectra appeared to have lost control, crossed the carriageway and struck a black Vauxhall Corsa.

The driver and the passenger of the Vectra were both killed. The 20-year-old man driving the Corsa suffered minor injuries.

Officers have appealed for anyone with information to contact them.
