Man in court over teenager murder

A man has appeared in court charged with murdering a teenager at a house in the Castlemilk area of Glasgow.

Christopher McCandlish, from Castlemilk, is accused of murdering 17-year-old Jamie Bain at Drakemire Drive in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The 21-year-old appeared in private at Glasgow Sheriff Court where he made no plea or declaration and was remanded in custody.

He is expected to appear again for full committal next week.
