Two car death crash biker named

A motorcyclist who died after being hit by two cars in Tarbolton, Ayrshire, on Friday evening has been named.

Harald Fontein, 44, who was from Holland but lived in Ayrshire, died at the scene.

Mr Fontein's bike collided with a car on Montgomerie Street at about 1705 BST and he was then struck by another car.

Neither of the two motorists were injured. Police appealed for witnesses and said a report would be sent to the procurator fiscal.
