Teenager slashed in street attack

A teenager has suffered serious slash wounds after being attacked in the east end of Glasgow.

The 15-year-old was assaulted in Westmuir Street, Tollcross, at about 2315 on Friday.

He was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment to lacerations to his face and arms.

Det Con Rhona MacIntyre, of Strathclyde Police, described the attack as "particularly nasty" and appealed for witnesses to come forward.
