Blind pensioner robbed on street

A 75-year-old blind woman was attacked and robbed in the west end of Glasgow at the weekend, police said.

The woman was set upon as she walked home on Great Western road near to Anniesland Cross at about 1800 GMT on Sunday.

The robber approached the woman from behind, pushed her to the ground and made off with her bag.

The suspect is described as a white male, about 5ft 7in, with a stocky build and dark hair.

He was dressed in a light-coloured jacket at the time of the offence.
