The council is investigating an alleged misuse of the e-mail system

Several workers at South Lanarkshire Council have been dismissed as an investigation into the inappropriate use of the e-mail system continues.
Last month it emerged that workers had been suspended over claims they sent joke e-mails about convicted paedophile Gary Glitter.
The staff involved were thought to include members of the children and family services department.
A council spokeswoman said the investigation was "ongoing."
Dismissals appealed
The inquiry was launched after an e-mail understood to feature pictures of children's faces stuck on images of former pop star Gary Glitter, was sent outside the office.
A South Lanarkshire Council spokeswoman said: "The investigation is still ongoing and it would be inappropriate to comment further at this stage.
"Under the terms of the Data Protection Act we don't discuss individuals."
A spokesman for the local government union, Unison, said it was representing some of its members in appeals against their dismissals.
