Second repair for town water main

Tap water
Scottish Water said the second burst had not cut supplies in Helensburgh

A water main in Helensburgh, which burst for a second time this week, has been repaired.

Scottish Water said engineers repaired the main at about 1830 GMT on Thursday but the network took several hours to recharge and return to normal.

Bottled water was delivered to affected properties and 300,000 litres of water was tankered to the area.

Scottish Water said it had launched an investigation into the cause of the bursts on Monday and Thursday.
