Efforts to trace his grandmother Anne Brown, 51, are still ongoing.

She and her grandson went missing in Fenwick, Ayrshire, on Saturday evening. Police had said they were "extremely concerned" for the safety of the pair.

Reported missing

Anne Brown was last seen leaving her mother's house in Fenwick at about 1800 BST on Saturday.

She had been making her way home to Laigh Gree in Burnhouse, Ayrshire.

Her black Ford Focus was found on the A735 between Dunlop and Neilston at about 0200 BST on Sunday.

She was reported missing to the police by her mother on Wednesday.
