The largest windsurfing event in Scotland has been won by 31-year-old John Skye.
The Southampton-based competitor won the professional leg of the 2008 Tiree Wave Classic.
The amateurs and masters sections of the competition are due to be completed by Saturday.
Event organiser Gordon Ritchie said: "John Skye deserved the win and was excellent as always. This week has been amazing with brilliant conditions."
The Tiree Wave Classic, which has been held on the island since 1986, was given World Cup status last year.
Tiree is the ideal location for windsurfing as it boasts an average wind speed of 17mph, countless white sandy beaches and the most sunshine hours in the UK.
