Man dies after minibus incident

A man has died following a road crash in Renfrew.

Steven Carnachan was seriously injured after being struck by a Ford Transit minibus on Paisley Road at about 1645 BST on Wednesday.

The 45-year-old was taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital where he died a short time later. The driver of the minibus was not injured.

A report will be sent to the procurator fiscal. Police have asked anyone who witnessed the incident to contact them.
