Murder accused 'unfit for trial'

A man who is alleged to have killed his stepfather and attempted to murder his brother has been ordered to be detained at a psychiatric hospital.

The High Court in Glasgow heard that Anil Kumar, 23, was insane and unfit to plead during a hearing in his absence.

The 23-year-old is accused of killing Satpal Ghusar, 52, and attacking Akash Ghusar, 32, in Bishopbriggs in May.

An examination of facts hearing was scheduled for December to hear the circumstances of the alleged offences.
