Schoolboy in court over stabbings

A schoolboy has gone on trial at the High Court in Glasgow accused of murdering a teenager and attempting to murder another.

The 15-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was just 14 when he is alleged to have stabbed and killed 17-year-old Christopher Johnston.

He also denied attempting to murder Keni Carmichael, 17, by stabbing him.

The offences are alleged to have taken place on 26 January this year in Bishopbriggs, East Dunbartonshire.
