Police name man killed in blaze

A man who died following a fire at his home in Renfrewshire has been named as 49-year-old Graham Beacom.

The emergency services were called to Mr Beacom's flat in Orchard Street, Paisley, at about 0245 BST on Thursday.

He was found inside and pronounced dead at the scene. A woman who lives in the block of flats was treated in hospital for smoke inhalation.

Police said there did not appear to be any suspicious circumstances. A report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.
