He was wearing a black hat, black gloves, blue denims and a black jacket.

No firearm was discharged during the second robbery and no-one was injured.

The suspect was described as being over 6ft in height and of slim build.

He was wearing a black parka and black trousers and had a scarf covering his face.

Det Insp Willie Park, of Strathclyde Police, said: "At the time of the robberies, both premises were open and were quite busy, and I would ask anyone who has not yet spoke to police to come forward.

"Officers are continuing to study CCTV footage in an effort to gain more information.

"These two robberies are not being linked, however, enquiries are ongoing to establish if the first robbery is linked to previous robberies in the local area.

"I would also ask shop staff in the west end of Glasgow to be extra-vigilant due to the recent spate of robberies in the area."
