Police have appealed for information after two armed robberies at bookmakers in the west end of Glasgow on Tuesday.
A man made off with a three-figure sum of cash after threatening staff at William Hill bookmakers in Kelvingrove Street with a firearm at 1610 BST.
At 2110 BST a man threatened staff at Coral bookmakers in Great Western Road with a firearm before making off with a three-figure sum of cash.
Police said the robberies were not being linked.
However, officers are warning shop staff in the west end to be "extra vigilant".
The firearm was not discharged during the first robbery and no-one was injured.
The suspect was described as being between 5ft 7in and 6ft in height and of thin build.
He was wearing a black hat, black gloves, blue denims and a black jacket.
No firearm was discharged during the second robbery and no-one was injured.
The suspect was described as being over 6ft in height and of slim build.
He was wearing a black parka and black trousers and had a scarf covering his face.
Det Insp Willie Park, of Strathclyde Police, said: "At the time of the robberies, both premises were open and were quite busy, and I would ask anyone who has not yet spoke to police to come forward.
"Officers are continuing to study CCTV footage in an effort to gain more information.
"These two robberies are not being linked, however, enquiries are ongoing to establish if the first robbery is linked to previous robberies in the local area.
"I would also ask shop staff in the west end of Glasgow to be extra-vigilant due to the recent spate of robberies in the area."
