Body of missing pensioner found

The body of a missing pensioner has been found in undergrowth in Kilmarnock, police have confirmed.

Andrew Hunter, 84, from Woodbank Road, Crosshouse, had been missing since last Sunday.

A spokeswoman for Strathclyde Police said there appeared to be no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.

Mr Hunter suffered from dementia and Parkinsons Disease but had not taken his medication with him. A report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.
