Two people have been arrested in connection with the death of 25-year-old Eleni Pachou in Glasgow, police have confirmed.

Strathclyde Police said a 37-year-old man and 43-year-old woman had been detained and a report would be a submitted to the procurator fiscal.

The trainee manager was found in Di Maggio's pizzeria in Ruthven Lane at 0820 BST on Friday, 30 May.

Staff had left the restaurant the night before, leaving Ms Pachou to lock up.

Her family recently made an emotional appeal for anyone with information on her death to come forward.

Ms Pachou's brother Spiro and their 65-year-old father Yiannis Pachos, who flew in from Athens, issued a statement to the media.

More than 2,000 people were also stopped and questioned by police officers in the West End following Ms Pachou's death.

Her bosses had described her as a "beautiful, sparkling young woman".
