Second blaze at derelict hospital

Firefighters have been called to a second blaze in as many nights at a derelict hospital in East Dunbartonshire.

The fire at Lennox Castle Hospital began at about 1800 BST on Tuesday.

The 19th century building was a former mental hospital and has lain empty and fenced off for the last six years.

On Monday, about 35 firefighters helped extinguish the flames. A similar number of emergency service workers attended the second blaze.

No one was injured in either of the fires.
