Tunnel reopens after lorry crash

The Clyde Tunnel in Glasgow was closed for 10 hours after a lorry overturned, shedding a huge load of whisky across the carriageway.

A section of the Clydeside Expressway shut when the lorry turned over on a slip road after emerging from the tunnel's north end at about 1830 BST.

No other vehicles were involved. The driver was treated for head injuries but his condition is not serious.

Strathclyde Police said the road was reopened at about 0430 BST on Thursday.

A section of the road's eastbound carriageway was shut near Victoria Park after the incident.

Three fire engines and 15 firefighters were involved in the clean-up.
