Death of woman treated as murder

Tracy Scott
Police are appealing for help in finding Tracy's killer

Police in Paisley are treating the death of a 41-year-old woman as murder.

The body of Tracy Scott was found at her home on Waverley Road, Foxbar, Paisley on Saturday at about 1535 BST.

Following a post-mortem examination, officers asked anyone who could help establish Ms Scott's movements in the days before her death to get in touch.

The victim visited her family in Foxbar on Wednesday before she left to return home where she lived alone, Strathclyde Police said.

Det Insp Mark McGowan, said: "I'm appealing for anyone who may have seen Tracy or had contact with her between Wednesday 23 April and Saturday 26 April 2008, or who has any information relating to her murder, to contact police.

"No matter how trivial they believe that information to be, I would ask that they come forward to assist us with our inquiry."
