Celtic Connections draws 120,000
The 15th annual Celtic Connections winter music festival in Glasgow has ended after a 19-day run which saw 120,000 tickets sold.

Organisers said music fans attended 300 concerts at 19 venues.

KD Lang and Steve Earle opened their world tours at the festival with sold-out concerts.

Donald Shaw, artistic director, said: "We wanted to expand the musical boundaries of the festival and we're happy it's proved so successful."
