'Missing mail' postman suspended
A postman in Lanarkshire has been suspended from his post as part of an investigation into the "intentional delay of mail", Royal Mail has said.

The man, who has not been named, worked out of the Wishaw delivery office and was suspended after complaints about missing mail.

A Royal Mail spokeswoman said "We'd like to apologise to customers for any inconvenience caused by this incident."

It is a criminal offence to tamper with or delay the delivery of mail.
