Huskies cause motorway disruption
Two escaped husky dogs brought traffic to a standstill on one of Scotland's busiest roads.

Police said the animals were seen running up and down the southbound carriageway of the M73 near Gartcosh, Lanarkshire, at about 1600 BST.

As officers attempted to catch the dogs one of the animals was struck by a vehicle. It later died.

The remaining dog ran away. A Strathclyde Police spokesman said traffic had now started to move again.
